Ihiwalay ang palay sa ipa?

Tagalog Expression: Ihiwalay at piliin mabuti ang mapapakinabangan, itapon ang wala ng silbi

English Translation: Separate the wheat from the chaff  (idiom)


Note:
Wheat is money in one sense, and chaffs are just thin dry bracts or scales(mga pinagtalupan.) Tulad ng sa palay, kapag ito ay tinatalupan para maging bigas, natitira rito ang "ipa."
Can be used figuratively or literally.
Usage:
Ang bulok na kamatis nakakahawa sa  ibang malulusog na katabing kamatis. Kaya kailangan ihiwalay at piliin mabuti ang mapapakinabangan pa at itapon ang bulok.

Rotten tomatoes can make a basket full of healthy tomatoes rot, you must separate the wheat from the chaff to avoid this.

Sa halalan, dapat ihiwalay mo ang alam mong mga bulok na kandidato at iboto ang mga me pakinabang na politiko.
